PageDrop MCP setup and tool reference
Connect a local PageDrop MCP server to an AI client to validate, upload, share and revoke single-file reports.
Install the official package
Requires Node.js 18 or later. These versioned packages are distributed by the PageDrop website; do not assume the package name is available in the public npm registry.
npm install -g https://pagedrop.space/downloads/pagedrop-mcp-0.1.0.tgz
npm install -g https://pagedrop.space/downloads/pagedrop-cli-0.1.0.tgz

Authentication
Create a token in API Tokens. Set PAGEDROP_API_URL to https://pagedrop.space and PAGEDROP_API_KEY to that private token in your client configuration. Do not paste real credentials into shared examples.
Six tools
| Tool | Purpose |
|---|---|
| pagedrop_validate | Validate and normalize text before upload |
| pagedrop_upload | Upload HTML, MARKDOWN or TEXT; optionally create a share |
| pagedrop_get | Read metadata, including scan status |
| pagedrop_list | List files in your account |
| pagedrop_share | Create another share with an expiry or access controls |
| pagedrop_revoke | Revoke a share by its ID |
Upload with an expiry
{"name":"report.html","kind":"HTML","content":"<!doctype html><title>Report</title><h1>Project update</h1>","share":{"expiresInDays":7}}
The API result contains the file and, when requested, share information. Use the returned URL, not a reconstructed token-only path. Errors return isError with an API error code; do not claim success on an error response.

The distributed server supports local stdio. Its optional HTTP entry point is for your own authenticated deployment; PageDrop does not advertise a public unauthenticated remote MCP endpoint.
Turn your next report into a link
