PageDrop · Files worth sharing
Single-file sharing or website deployment?
Choose a workflow for reports, prototypes and applications.
Choose by what you are delivering
| Need | Single-file sharing with PageDrop | Full website deployment |
|---|---|---|
| Review a generated report | Upload one HTML or Markdown file | Often requires a build or deployment setup |
| Password or expiry per link | Built-in share policy | Depends on the platform or your application |
| Backend code or database | Not provided for uploaded files | Choose hosting that supports your runtime |
| A folder of assets | Not a directory deployment service | Usually part of the deployment workflow |
| Long-lived public marketing site | Use a dedicated public site; user shares default to noindex | Usually the better fit |
| Automated document delivery | REST API, CLI and MCP | Depends on the provider |
A practical decision
Use PageDrop when the output is a self-contained document and you want to control a review link. Deploy a website when the output is an application with routes, assets, server processes or a public SEO strategy of its own. The right choice depends on the artifact, not on which tool has more features.
Limits that matter
PageDrop accepts HTML, Markdown and TXT up to 10 MiB. External assets must remain accessible. A password does not make remote image hosting private. noindex is a crawler directive, not access control.
Turn your next report into a link
Upload a single file, review it, then choose who can access it and for how long.
