Share a report from Cursor with PageDrop MCP

Goal and prerequisites

Deliver a single generated report as a link that expires after seven days. You need Cursor, Node.js 18+, a PageDrop account and a dedicated API token. No affiliation with Cursor is implied.

Install the official package

Requires Node.js 18 or later. These versioned packages are distributed by the PageDrop website; do not assume the package name is available in the public npm registry.

Connect the client

Open your private ~/.cursor/mcp.json and add this entry. Replace the placeholder locally, keep the file private, then enable PageDrop in Cursor MCP settings.

Request a report

Create a self-contained HTML project report from these notes.
Use pagedrop_validate, then pagedrop_upload with kind HTML and
share.expiresInDays 7. Use pagedrop_get to check scanStatus.
Return the complete share URL and the expiry. Do not upload secrets.

Verify the outcome

Check that the tool returns success, the file scan becomes CLEAN, and the link opens in a browser. If the scan is pending, wait; if infected or failed, do not claim delivery. If rate limited, respect Retry-After. A one-time link is consumed by its first visit, so use a normal expiring link for repeat reviews.

A reproducible sample

Use the official project report. The sample uses fictional content and can be downloaded without login. The MCP protocol is tested separately from client-specific account authorization; follow the current client documentation if its interface changes.
